I’m so excited to finally share the charming hometown wedding of Maggie & Garrison. This couple was dear to my heart because I’ve known them both since we were all in high school together. They were sweet hearts all the way through our high-school days so when I got the chance to design for them, it turned out to be a fairy-tale wedding.
a few of my favorite shots during the couple’s first look.
the historic Jasper United Methodist provided a stunning backdrop for photos.
The stained glass rotunda in the sanctuary is breathtaking and so picturesque.
The dance floor was on the front steps of the court house. Glowing in the wedding colors it was an electric backdrop.
A couple detail shots from the day… Instead of the ring-bearers walking down with the traditional pillow, we had the little guys walk in before the bride ringing bells tied with pink gingham ribbon. The wedding cake was a towering 5 feet tall and detailed out in the monogram that was used through the entire wedding design.
I am honestly not a fan of the over-used candy buffet, UNLESS it makes sense for the couple. With Maggie in dental school & Garrison in pharmacy school we put a unique spin on the table. Along side of the candy dishes we had tooth brushes in the couples colors and the containers for the candy were oversized medicine bottles. The adorable signage read, “Maggie & Garrison’s prescription for a happy marriage, lot’s of sugar!”
With sparklers that flickered for 5 minutes, (I kid you not) the couple had plenty of time to make a grand exit.
There were so many fabulous details to this wedding… custom gingham bow-ties for the ring bearers, fitted slim suits for the groomsmen and the vests had polka-dotted backs, an ice cream truck parked at the end of the street in lieu of a grooms cake, passed Orangina’s with stripped paper straws served as the guests walked up the street to the reception and the MOST amazing detail – the mother & grandmother of the bride made the fabulous bridal gown you see above.
It was a wonderful Southern wedding that I loved designing and I hope you were inspired! What was your favorite part?
